    Blankets of grass cover the hard soil. Butterflies glide above. Water still drips from melting icicles, while moving clouds float over the blossoming trees.

    Still, the warm sunlight is overtaking the wet, cold winter weather. I find myself waking up to the soothing chirps of newborn birds in the trees and the sounds of falling rain that nourishes the plants. Later, ants will be scavenging for every last scrap of food left over from a picnic. Children will be heard playing loudly in a field.
